Strategic Advice. 

  • We like assisting management or directors to examine the opportunities for growth that may present themselves, and help articulate what gaps exist, and how those can be addressed.   We sometimes take a deep dive and become a member of management or step onto the Board to provide governance and growth advice.  Our principals have been on the buy and sell side of the street, and know many of the analyst, corporate finance professionals, and fund managers.  It we determine that the company needs to address a few issues before executing a plan, we will work with you through that process.

Canadian Local Partner - We are your "quarterback".

  • For international and domestic firms, we like to think that we become your partners in Canada to assist in the exploration of what Capital Markets avenues may exist of your firm.  We conduct an analysis of your current operations and then work on a plan to quickly survey financial participants in Canada to see if there is interest in proceeding.  If so, our mandates continue through development of a funding plan, execution thereof, M&A, or strategic alliance.   We look at all opportunities on a dynamic basis and suggest what is the best apparent course of action for your firm.

M&A Mergers and Acquisitions Execution

  •  M&A assignments can be initiated in an engagement directly, or are transitions from a funding engagement.   We may initially help your company to pursue funding, but in the course of the execution, a strategic partner may come along interested in a takeover or partnership.  We structure our arrangement so we are perfectly aligned with the company to provide service and assistance whichever outcome arises.  We have introduced clients to many high tech companies in US, Europe, Australia and of course, Canada.

Capital Sourcing

  • We work with you to determine what is the appreciate size of funds required by a sources and uses analysis and help create a plan to achieve funding.  Depending on the size of funding required, we may recommend the examination of routes into the public markets through a reverse takeover, a capital pool company or IPO.  Private equity partners are also examined when appropriate.  NorthCrest has many relationships with Venture Capital Companies in Canada and the USA.  Finally, a funding may be better suited by targeting Angel Investors, high net worth accredited investors.
